SPRINGTIME….

God has been so good to me… every day I thank him for all the things that he has allow me to do and all the blessing he has given me. Thankfull  for all those people that decided to step up on faith and support me finantially and with their prayers; many of you not even knowing me, you decided to get behind me and push me forward following my call. I will always thank you for that.

I have so much to show you and things to talk about… I decided to show you some pictures and videos of some of the things that have been going on in my life in the last few months.

Haiti:

At the beginning of this year I whent on a staff retreat to Haiti for about 5 days. It  was awesome, the work that our ministry is doing there its literally restoring the community where we are at there. I was there last year, and just a year later I can see so much progress in the work there. The feeding center is being built and the church just keeps on growing and growing.

Whiule I was there, the pastor of the church gave me the opportunity of preaching to the congregation on their Sunday service; I shared about hope. With the help of a translator I tried my best to communicate to them that God has big things for us, we just gotta believe and be faithful.

Also that same night we have the opportunity of performing 2 of our songs on that service, it was awesome, we loved it and they loved it. Even though there was a language barrier, they understood what the songs were about and they really got into it, it was great.

New Music:

At the end of july we are gonna have our 5^th anniversary of our retreat CRISTO URBANO. We have been working on that for a few month now, and things are coming along well. We are gonna be at a new location this year and kids are super exited about that. Hopefully we are gonna have over 300 kids from all over the country.

Only from the bateys we are gonna have 3 big busses, and from Santiago, jimani and other places we are also gonna have lots of kids. So we cant wait for it.

Every year we give aways a free tshirt to every camper. This year, we are giving away our new Cristo Urbano album to them, and not just that but our new album, we have been working on a special edition, so, its gonna have like 5 new songs in it. We are pump, we have been working really hard on that. We know that the kids are gonna love it. So please keep that in your prayers because we have been really busy this summer and we still need to finish two more songs in the album.

New baptisms:

Jeremy and Leandro officially became the new members of our youth group when they decided to be baptized and become fully committed Christ followers. We are really happy for them because we have been working with them for a while now and the seed of the gospel has in them for a long time. Its really cool to see God making that seed grow and be a testimony to others. They have become very active members of our youth group and have been using their gifts to glorify God. STREET OUTREATCH:

We have bless to know that God has always have our backs. We serve and we always let our testimony do the talk. I say that because all the pastors and leaders of diferents congregation in Santiago and across the country know that they can count on us for to do Gods work. They always know that when they are putting together a revival or any kind of activity to reatch those in the street they can count on us.  This one church did a family day at the community of NIBAJE and they ended the day we us doing a concert for the community… we loved that kind environment. That’s where God really wants us, reatching the lost. We are fortunate to be doing what we do day in and day out.

Another church called us to do the same thing at a different community, called LOS REYES, and it was such a powerful event. About 20 people came forward wanting to changed their lives.

Always keep us in your prayers because we always want to be God’s hand and feet. We wanna do his will. Its not about us, its all about him. We want God to always help persevere and rely on him for everything we do.

CONSTRUCTION:

This summer we have taken some time to remodel our school. We are working hard to make it a lot nicer for the upcoming school year. We have been remodeling some rooms and we have used some of the teams this summer to help us paint it too.

Its staring to look really nice. The classrooms where needing a new color, so I’m glad we are painting them now. The American teams have been doing a great job with it.

Some of the teachers of the school came  to the their classrooms and they loved the new color, that made us happy, cause they work hard all year with lots of kids and its nice to feel good at your work place.

TOUR AROUND D.R.

One of my dreams has always been to go around the country expanding Gods kingdom. we began doing that in a much organized way this year. At least once a month we go out of town and visit a new city with our music.

We have been organizing these trips with the help of churches in the surrounding areas, so when somebody finds Jesus through one of our concerts, we have a place where to send them to learn more about our creator. Its neat to see people’s thirst for the word of God.

We got to do a conert at the bateys where around 300 people or more were part of it. It helped as a great encouragement for the youth in the bateys cause they don’t have much going on there. They were very appreciative of us coming there and they were all really pump about the youth retreat in July, which is one of the main reasons why we whent there. We wanted to be a blessing for them but also we wanted to encourage them to come to camp in july.

Pastor William told me last week that they have around 100 kids that are getting ready to come to camp in july. Its gonna be awesome!

During that weekend we made a stop at the city of Bani, which is in the way to go to the bateys. We worked out really well. We have never performed at that city before and the contact we have there really wanted us to come and perform at a street revival that they had at one of the most dangerous streets of Bani (as she described.) she also asked me to share some words for the youth of that community. It was a powerful night. We performed around 7 songs and at the end of the night I share a message about “second chances” and I talked about Peter.  God is good! Around 12 people came forward that night wanting to give their lives to Christ.

ENGAGED:

So I have been getting to know this girl for a few years now and I believe she is the one I wanna spend the rest of my life with, so I asked her to married me….she said yes! Hahaha. We have been really exite to see what God has prepare for us. I cant wait for you guys to meet her. Her name is Lenae and she is originally from Virginia but when to school in California. She has been coming to the DR for more than 5 years and she is actually working with the ministry now as team coordinator/ children’s ministry.

Our wedding is gonna be at the end of this year, and we have been working hard preparing everything for our big day. Please keep us in your prayers, for God always be the center of our relationship and we may continue doing his will in our lives.
