June 2008
MINISTRY HIGHLIGHTS:
A very exiting day for me happen about two weeks ago when I had the priviledge of baptizing this boy in my youth group name ENYOR. Many of you know him, he is a great kid, very talented and with a lot of leadership. He is a fruit of VBS in our church. I´m really happy for him because I´ve been wanting him get baptize for a long time, but through that I tried not to putch him to do it. It had to be something that come from him. I know God is going to use him more now that he has the Holly Spirit in him.
We just got done with a week full of sports clinics. We had men basketball, baseball, volleyball, women basketball and aerobics all at the time in diferent courts. It was awesome, we had a lot of people involved in it. This time we got to reatch all ages. Thanks to all of you whom keep us in prayers all the time because without your prayer support non of this would it been posible.
PROJECTS WORKING ON:
New lessons for our book study/ bible study.
Preparing for another meeting with the youth pastors.
Planning a retreat to Batey 9 (church in the south part of the country, 6 hours away).
PRAYER REQUEST:
1. For many upcoming activities that we have planed this summer
2. The youth in my community
MINISTRY CHALLENGES:
This year we have been teaching that God has to be in the first place of our life. If he is in the first place, then we won´t have to worry about following a bunch of sets of rules like the Pharisees. As this year goes by I want everyone in the group to live their live according to what God wants not by what the world says.
FAMILLY NEWS:
1. Two of my nieces really like this praise song that we sing in our worship team. They also wanted to dedicate to our base player Gabriel because he loves playing this song too. I know they are gringas but they still represent their half Dominican side really well. Check it out:
Again, thanks for your prayers and all your support. We are gong to continue doing what we do and the kingdom of God is just going to continue to grow. I pray that God bless your families and those of you who have been here, we hope to see you soon and those who have never been here, make sure you plan on coming soon because God might have some big things for you. Peace!!
In Christ,
I.G.
